Our hearts are with everyone affected by Hurricane Helene, including those in Greenwood County where our South Carolina plant is located. The safety and well-being of our teammates is our highest priority, and E.A. Sween is honored to be able to support our team members who were affected by the storm. In response to the needs of the community, E.A. Sween has teamed up with Greenwood County Emergency Operations to provide meals for our local heroes.

“Greenwood is extremely grateful for E.A. Sween Company’s generosity in our darkest days following the devastation inflicted by Hurricane Helene. The giving hearts of one of our community’s newest industries provided a much-needed meal on the go for road-clearing crews, utility crews, and first responders throughout this effort that’s been exhausting for so many. We owe our sincerest gratitude to E.A. Sween for the sustenance that’s enabled continuous coordination of disaster response and relief in the wake of the worst storm in the history of our resilient county,” said James Bateman, Economic Development Director for Greenwood County.

We donated sandwiches, bread, and tortillas to support 911 dispatch, firefighters, police, EMS, linemen, the SC Forestry Commission, and other community organizations as they work tirelessly to maintain safety and support during this challenging time. The gratitude expressed by these dedicated teams reminds us of the strength and unity within our community. Together, we are resilient.
